Documentary film festival running screenings, short film programmes, awards, filmmaker events and a monthly documentary club.
Beginner-friendly day workshop on documentary editing using the free version of DaVinci Resolve, led by Screen South Technical Manager Gavin Robers. Participants will learn core editing tools and practise cutting a one-minute interview. Attendees can bring their own computer with the latest free DaVinci Resolve installed or use a Screen South machine. The session is part of the Folkestone Documentary Festival Filmmaking Challenge 2026 and places are limited.

Opening night of Folkestone Documentary Festival with a screening of The Cycle of Love at The Silver Screen Cinema. Tickets include entry to the Opening Night Party from 18:30 before the film, followed by a live Q&A with Academy Award-winning filmmaker Orlando von Einsiedel.
