A week-long programme of hands-on workshops in Folkestone ahead of this year’s festival. Local artists and makers will lead taster sessions in embroidery, sculptural sewing, weaving, experimental surface design, and reusing and reimagining materials. Workshops start from £10. Docker Brewer + Taproom, Unit C, Five Acre Estate, CT195DS
A three-day group art show and public programme at Docker Brewery & Taproom, presented in partnership with Open Art Folke. The event will showcase local artists in a brewery setting outside traditional gallery spaces, with exhibition work and public-facing activity including workshops.
Outdoor workshop led by Elly Rutherford as part of Open Art Folke. Expect playful movement, sensory materials and guided meditation while exploring East Cliff park and the former Jennifer Tee Triennial artwork site. No dance experience is needed, and all ages and abilities are welcome. Meet at Oceans Tree of Life beneath Martello Tower 1 on Jock's Pitch. Tickets are £5 plus booking fee, with a pay-what-you-can option.
