Folkestone’s unofficial guide to what’s going on.
Free guided tour of Shorncliffe Military Cemetery led by a Commonwealth War Graves Commission volunteer guide. This 90-minute walk focuses on people commemorated here who were wounded on the Western Front, with stories, photographs, letters and accounts linked to WW1 burials and the development of the CWGC. Meet inside the main entrance car park. The route covers about 700 metres on grass and uneven ground, with some steep paths and limited on-site parking. No toilets or other facilities are available on site, and only assistance dogs are permitted.
