Folkestone’s unofficial guide to what’s going on.
Folkestone Film Festival presents a special Halloween screening of Paramount Pictures’ PASSENGER, with the film’s co-writer T.W. Burgess appearing in person for a short talk and live audience Q&A. Before PASSENGER, T.W. Burgess (who is from nearby Ashford) will give a short talk exploring road ghosts, local folklore and the strange stories that inspired the film. This Halloween event will begin with HUSH LITTLE ONE, a new folk-horror short film shot in Ashford by Kent filmmaker Syd Heather. Starring Mandip Gill (Doctor Who), the film follows a sleep-deprived mother who discovers that her young son’s nightmares may be more real than they first appear. Following PASSENGER, T.W. Burgess will rejoin the audience for a live Q&A hosted by Ben Barton, Festival Director of the Folkestone Film Festival. The evening will also include a raffle to win signed posters and blu rays, courtesy of Paramount Pictures UK. Part of FFF's new season, showing films from Kent filmmakers on the big screen.
