The Evie Dove Foundation: Big Coastal Walk 2026

Join The Evie Dove Foundation on Saturday 5th September 2026 in Hythe, Kent for a 16-mile coastal hike or a 3-mile canal stroll, and raise vital funds to help train paediatric healthcare workers. Now in its fourth year, the Big Coastal Walk takes place in Hythe, Kent, offering two inclusive routes: a 16-mile coastal challenge and a 3-mile canal walk, perfect for families and all fitness levels. Both walks start and finish at Unit 1 Riverside at 10:00am. The event honours the legacy of 13-year-old Evie Dove, whose family and friends launched the Foundation after she passed away from a brain tumour in 2022. Funds raised go directly towards specialist training for healthcare professionals caring for children with severe and long-term illnesses. For the Big Coastal Walk it is a £10 sign up fee which includes a t-shirt, refreshment stops, and a medal. For the Little Canal Walk it is a £5 sign up fee, this includes a goodie pack for any children walking, and a medal. You will also be able to purchase a t-shirt for the exclusive price of £5.
