Intersections: Reading Room — a free public space at The Old Post Office where you’re invited to read and reflect, convene and converse in a shared cultural resource (part library, part meeting place). A rotating reading list selected by guest curators is added monthly, with compilations by Tharik Hussain (Muslim Europe, travel and identity), Imad Ahmed (Islam, faith, astronomy and timekeeping) and Cathy Haynes (concepts and measures of time, the sky and living world).
The Old Post Office, Tontine Street
A free evening exploring Sakela, the sacred folk dance of the Rai people of Nepal. The event includes talks from two Rai community members, a video demonstration, discussion and food, with a focus on Nepali heritage and the role of folk traditions in cultural identity. Hosted by SD Projects in collaboration with the Folkestone Nepalese Community as part of the Intersections programme.
