A guided countryside walk from Folkestone West station through Cheriton and up onto the Folkestone Downs. Led by ecologist and GeoAmbassador Melanie Wrigley, the route explores medicinal plants, wildlife, geology, prehistory and local history, including the story of Dr William Harvey. Expect a strenuous 4.5 to 5 mile walk with steep ascent, uneven ground, stiles and a packed-lunch stop. Booking is essential.
