A public exhibition at Customs House explores the roles of Folkestone and its harbour during both World Wars. Customs House was once part of a larger building badly damaged in a bombing raid on 5 October 1942.

Eight hundred poppies will fill the Old Harbour Station flowerbeds in remembrance of those who lost their lives in war. Visitors can pause for quiet reflection among the poppies, which were first installed in 2025.

The marketplace opens on Friday 13 November, with lights switched on at 19:00. Weekend hours are Friday and Saturday 11:00–19:00 and Sunday 11:00–18:00. Daily 11:00–18:00 opening is also advertised nearer Christmas Eve, but its start date is unspecified.

Lip Service’s final social of 2026 is a pre-Christmas party with DJ sets from Coxy and TBX spanning pop, disco, house and Latin music.
